Ok so I highlighted some films early this year that seemed to be the top hitters of 2010 up until June. Lets just say there were more misses than hits on that list. In summary, so far in 2010 films have just been quite... "eh." Quick recap on what we were so lucky to have been graced with to date in 2010.

Jan

Daybreakers: Caught in on DVD with the wife. Enjoyable film. Different take on Vamps but nothing to write home about. Mediocre acting and lack of true action just didn't deliver like I had hoped.

I did get around to watching The Lovely Bones, strange film. Had great potential but again, partial waste of time.

Feb

Shutter Island: Saw it in theater, Scoresese delivered. Top 100 all time for me. Great acting, great story, well put together. A jewel of the year so far.

The Wolfman was sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. Really, BAD!

March

Alice In Wonderland: A fun twist to the existing world of Wonderland... or Underland as stated in film. But i'm not sure if it was cause I was DEAD TIRED when viewing, or the crappy 3D but it just didn't do anything for me.

Clash of the Titans: Haven't seen it but heard it was utter CRAP!

April

Kick Ass: It really Kicked Ass! Great film, fun and entertaining. Won't disappoint if you enjoy action, violence and wild killing. Nick Cage actually was great as a secondary role and in no way detracted from this film!

Nightmare on Elm Street (remake): Heard it was crap... waiting for DVD.

Did see Date Night with the wife on one of our "Date Nights" and we both found it to be way funnier than critics thought. I loved everything about it, Carell and Fey are perfect together.

May

Iron Man 2: Nothing to say here, it's Fucking Iron Man... Was WAY GOOD. Not as good as the original but delivers everything a summer blockbuster should.

Prince of Persia: Hearing mixed reviews so far but people are comparing it to the more recent Mummy films... hmmmm?

Well there you go, seems that only Shutter Island, Kick Ass and Iron Man really stood up to the task of truly enjoyable summer films. Hope the second half of the year has more in store!

It's Almost Here!

IRON MAN 2

Iron Man 2 will be released this Friday May 7th, Thursday night for you sneak peekers out there. It has already hit the UK early last week and has earned over $100 Million already internationally. EmpireOnline (my UK movie site of choice) reviewed IM2 3/5 stars. Mainly stating that the sequel didn't exactly live up to the hype providing it was a little over busy and inessential. If you care to check out the full review head over HERE. If you are a fan of reviews (as we all know I'm not considering I own Rollerball!) and allow it to drive your choice to check out a film then FYI- Rolling Stones= 8/10, Variety= 6/10

But regardless of the reviews for this film, I'm all about it. The first one blew me away far exceeding all expectations of "yet another marvel movie!" And the casting of Downey Jr turned out to be the most perfect Marvel Hero fit to date! (still awaiting results on Thor - Chris Hemsworth & Cap. America - Chris Evans [yes the same human torch chris evans])

For those of you that aren't up to speed on Iron Man 2, allow me to fill in the blanks. After the first film ends, we find our hero Tony Stark (RDJ) announcing to the world that he is in fact Iron Man. Note that this is the first superhero in comic history to bring his identity public. The second film continues in the short future of IM1's timeline where Stark is completely living it up as both the worlds richest man and most beloved hero. Meanwhile, Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke), a deranged Russian mastermind is using Stark Tech to create his own Iron Man suite to use against Tony for his fathers actions towards Ivan's family over 20 years prior.

Craziness leads to Rourke forming Vanko into the master villain "Whiplash." Creating an ironman like suite with electric whips that can tear cars in half. The film also brings into the forefront how the government wants to seize Stark's Technology for military applications. This side plot is helmed by (one of my favorites) Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell). While all this is going on, Jim Rhodes (Don Cheadle) is so torn between the friendship of Tony and his obligations to American Army that he is forced to take an Iron Man suit that will become a supped up version equipped to the T with serious fire power thus bringing to the stage our first glimpse of War Machine. Throw in a little Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and you got yourself an amazing summer blockbuster.

This movie has everything you can ask for in a summer fun flick. Crazy awesome electronics. (one of his suits - Mark V - is a suitecase turned Iron Man as seen in the above photo) Wild fight scenes. ScarJo's breasts. RDJ playing his always popular playboy image on screen. Superheroes. Supervillains. Explosions. It'll be very enjoyable this I promise you. So strap in, buckle up, hold on tight cause I feel this movie is gonna take you on one hell of a ride! I'll be seeing it this weekend and I'm sure to enjoy every minute.

There is a Buzz going around in Philly that doesn’t have to do with Spring Training and those Fightin Phils! This ringing has a completely different tune and its far from beautiful.

The Sixers are in shambles… and I can’t be happier! Why may you ask am I doing back flips at the expense of our once beloved hardcore kings? One word and that word alone… “LOTTERY!” With every L that gets posted up on that schedule my smile gets even bigger. L isn’t for loss this time around ladies and gents… oh no! This time it stands for Lottery.

The Philadelphia 76ers currently stand at 23-44 for the season. This God awful record has them currently tied as the 6th (with the likes of the Kings) worst team in the NBA. And after a 94-84 schalacking by the New York Knicks last night… yes the Knicks, our very own Sixers look hungry to break into that 5th position! They have dropped five games in a row now. And loss nine of their last ten. Now that’s pretty impressive. The Sixers will close out this week with the Nets and Knicks. Then a game at home vs a playoff contending Bulls on Saturday. They cap off the month with five games coming against all teams ranked in the top 6 of their conference.

I can’t foresee them pulling out more than two wins over the next eight. That would put this group of makeshift superstar wannabies (yes you Iguodala) at a whopping 25-50. And that number my friends, with only 7 games remaining in the season, will be this years winning Lottery Number!

Year in Review...

So 2010 is lining up to be quite a year for movie releases. You have your normal mix of mediocrity as you would see on any given release year. But this upcoming film season feels more to me like that of 2008 that had such jems like Iron Man, Dark Knight, Slumdog, Wall-E and Wanted to name a few! As you'll soon see, i'm almost sure you will be anticipating heading to your local theater just about every month. Lets take a look, shall we?

January

Daybreakers (8): Kicking off this new year with a bit of a shock, Daybreakers brings you two things I find most intriguing in films these days, 1- Vampires and 2- Harvesting Humans! (yes I enjoy harvesting humans very much. Matrix had it, Resident Evil had it, the 6th day... I can keep going!) Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe bring you a tale of bloodshed and not in the traditional sense. A future where Vampires have the run of the world and humans are an endangered species, some Vampires must collect and harvest the remaining humans as a food source in fear of the survival of their race! Sounds kick-ass to me!

Notable:

Book of Eli (15): This is also a futuristic America where Denzel Washington carries a bible esq. book that is coveted by... well EVERYONE. The tagline in this one is, "There are many that will kill for this book, But I would die to protect it!" And then the trailer here goes all close up on Denzel kicking every one's ass!

Youth in Revolt (8): A Michael Cera comedy where an alter-ego takes the reigns of a worthless teen only to send his life into a very noteworthy spiral. I love me some Michael Cera and the trailer here looks great for fans of his.

Legion (22): This isn't going to be any good really, but this is the movie that Rich has been drawing in his books and picturing in his mind for the last 10 years. So it will be kind of cool to finally see it all on screen. (year Rich I know it's not exact and yours will be 20x cooler, but this is really close!)

Avoid:

The Spy Next Door: Three reasons why... 1- Jackie Chan, 2- George Lopez, 3- Billy Ray Cyrus.

The Lovely Bones: Strictly based on a friends comments... "The book is good, the movie was a wast of my time!"

February

Shutter Island (19): Leonardo DiCaprio teams up with the directing styles of Scorsese once more (The Departed) for what looks to be a mind bending trip through a specialized psychiatric ward. Trailer here speaks for itself.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (12): You may question my highlight of this film as you read the title. And yes, it's slightly kiddish. However, this film looks wicked good. It's Harry Potter + Golden Compass + Hellboy all rolled into one epic as shit looking film! Trailer

Notable:

Valentine's Day (12): Strictly from the cast alone this seems like it'll be funny as hell. Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts and Jamie Foxx. It has a "He's Just Not That Into You" vibe going except it looks damn funny.

The Wolfman (12): January hits us with a spin on Vampires, well here in Feb. we get the classic tale of an English Warewolf. But this time it's played by the highly talented Benicio Del Toro. Throw in a little Anthony Hopkins (yes the Hannibal man himself) and this dark tale is sure to get the hairs on your neck to stand up!

Avoid:

Dear John - And I Quote... "Channing Tatum"

March

Alice in Wonderland (5): Yeah, here it is again. That good ol' Disney Classic that we've known since children. Oh wait, you gave the deed to Tim Burton... Aw Shit! Things are gonna get redick!

Clash of the Titans (26): Sam Worthington hits the screen yet again in this remake based around Greek Mythology. Lets just say it's 300 meets Gladiator meets Lord of The Rings! Two tickets to Saturday Matinee please! Thank You.

Notable:

She's Out of My League (12): This stars up and coming comedian Jay Baruchel. Best known for his works as the skinny friend in Knocked Up, the quirky side kick in Tropic Thunder and the tech head in Fanboys. Read about this today actually and seems like it could be a pleasant surprise. Plus he's funny as hell in Knocked up so it has real potential.

The Bounty Hunter (19): Could just be my man crush on Gerard Butler or not, but this tandem with Jenn Aniston who is hunted by her ex-boyfriend and bounty hunter (Butler) adds a bit of flair to this action comedy.

Avoid:

Remember Me: Why, cause it's staring Robert Pattinson. Yes that's right ladies. And I know for a fact that this kid doesn't have the acting chops in a role that is not a Vampire.

April

Kick Ass (16): Now look past the fact that Nick Cage is playing lead Villain. This may be the creme de la creme of films this year! This film has a Frank Miller style to it with the attitude of Inglorious Basterds. Its a Watchmen type on steroids. Rated a hard "R," this film doesn't hold back on any level. Violence, gore, obscenity, action and vulgarity. Throw my chips in the middle baby cause I'm all in! Trailer

A Nightmare on Elm Street (30): Yes another classic horror remake. But hey, why not reinvent the wheel for the next generation. I really enjoyed Zombies Halloween and the Friday 13th reboot as well. This time, the scar faced slasher is back and better than ever. Shannon, would you like to go on a date February 30th? hmmmmmmmm?

Notable:

Date Night (9): Carell, Fey, Franco and Wahlberg team up for this romantic comedy about a married couple and their date that went awry.

Avoid:

Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too: TYLER PERRY!

Back-Up Plan: JENNIFER LOPEZ

Piranha 3D: Don't let Elizabeth Shue draw you in, THIS WILL BE BAD!

May

Iron Man 2 (7): Yes kids, Tony Stark(Downey Jr) is back and he's still wearing that impressive armor of his. In this second installment, leading up to the desirable Avengers Movie, Iron Man 2 plans on delivering everything that the first provided us plus a little War Machine. Well, hopefully a LOT of him! Not so sure of Mickey Rourke as the lead Villain, but splash in ScarJo in black latex pants! six to midnight my friends...

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (28): Jake Gyll as the video game hero. The movie won't make back its budget but who doesn't enjoy a good video game movie. Mortal Kombat anyone? ehhh... ehhh?

Notable:

Sex and the City 2 (28): SJP has grandma hands!

Shrek Forever After (21): It's in 3-D man...

Robin Hood (14): Darker version of the original tale with Russell Crowe as Hood!

Avoid:

Taker: Paul Walker should stop... please just stop!

June

The A-Team (11): Why? Cause it's the Mother Fuckin A-Team! I did read that Mr. T WON'T be making a cameo. Sad, but with Liam Neeson, Brad Cooper and Jessica Biel it shouldn't need him.

Jonah Hex (18): Another comic book figure comes to life in this dark western. Played by Josh Brolin, Hex is a two-face look alike cowboy who doesn't take any shit. Carries two six-shooters and is one bad ass man! PS- Megan Fox in a corset.

Toy Story 3 (18): Yes it is in 3-D. Yes I do love Toy Story. Yes I still think Tom Hanks is the best actor of my lifetime. And no, Megan Fox isn't in this movie!

Notable:

Grown Ups (25): High school friends come together 30 years later at a reunion only to fall right back into their childhood shenanigan's. Utilize the comedy genius of Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade and I'll slap the B+ all over this thing right now.

Avoid:

The Karate Kid: No you should not remake this classic. Ralph Macchio is rolling in his grave. Oh, what's that? Ralph Macchio isn't dead... Really? oh I must be thinking of his career. Sorry.

Lady Gaga was Pa pa pa pa poker facing on every other minute through 2009. couldn't get away from it if you wanted to. I think B101 played that shit on the morning commute!

#9: Gives you Hell - All American Rejects

AAR seems to keep strong with making their mark on that one song that lasts through the entire year. Gives You Hell was quite good for like their fourth album.

#8: If You Seek Amy - Britney Spears

I know she had two other char toppers such as Womanizer and Circus... But man, how much did you just want to sing If (F) U (U) Seek (CK) Amy (Me). Or maybe that was just me!

#7: 1,2,3,4 - Plain White T's

I think what makes this song so damn good to me was the moment when Joey was in my car and I was bustin out the lyrics to this beautiful ballad and he looks at me dead faced and says... "Dude, you like the Jonas Brothers?" In which I replied, "fuck no man, this is the Plain White T's." To which he then replied back.... "Thank God, I love this song but didn't want to sound gay singing it!" Thank you Joey... Thank you! HAHA

Katy Perry... the best... Kissed a Girl, Hot and Cold... but when Waking Up In Vegas hit the soundwaves... I was all in! Sign me up "Katy Perry Fan Club...!"

"Concrete Jungle where dreams are made of..." Couldn't not play this song while I was driving. Then the Fuckin Yanks had to go and ruin the whole vibe beating down the Phils in that thing for baseball causing me to burn my copy of this album and forfeiting my fandom for anything NY related!

#2: Single Ladies - Beyonce

1 Phrase says it all... "... if you liked it than you should have put a ring on it!" That YouTube video of the little girl performing every move to this video played no part in this decision of #2 despite how damn adorable it was. But the SNL skit with JT may have!

What can I say about the Black Eyed Peas that hasn't already been said about Afghanistan... It's burned down and depleted. Wait... No, scratch that... They're the opposite of that. BEP just simply produce HITS! They are like me and you in that they put their pants on one leg at a time, except when they are dressed they make gold records!

*** Tidbit- I haven't seen Up, 9, Where The Wild Things Are, Precious or The Hurt Locker yet and I hear they are all Very Very Good! oh, and I'm not sure what all the fuss was about Coraline cause I just wan't feeling it... AT ALL.

Well as a piggy back on Rashida and her Office ties. This week I bring you someone who I feel flies far to low under the Smoking Hot Radar! She's been a featured face at the Front Desk over at Dunder Mifflin Paper Company for the past 6 seasons.

Ladies and Gentlemen... I give you:

Jenna Fischer

Jenna Fischer is just too damn adorable. She's got the perfect girl next door vibe to keep any man licking their chops. Taking her first true role as Pam on NBC's "The Office," Jenna has stayed pretty low key thus far throughout Hollywood. She can be seen looking quite delicious in both "Blades of Glory" (the not so funny Will Ferrell film) and especially in "Walk Hard" (another not so funny Will Ferrell inspired film... John C Reilly just shouldn't be a lead!). But seeing her on each and every episode of The Office is really what keeps many tuned in. Especially now since the show has taken quite a drop on the "Funny" meter. Jenna has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series back in 2007 for the role as Pam. I'm sure there are plenty more big screen characters that she'll be able to play in the near future. And no... she wasn't in "Drag Me To Hell" despite my deepest disbelief! Enjoy the pics.

Joe Carr brought this one to my attention today. Now I always looked at her as a very attractive woman, and at times she can look damn hot. But overall she's definitely a very desirable lady!

Rashida Jones

Now you may recognize the face if you are a fan of the NBC show "The Office." Making her first appearance in 2007 on the critically acclaimed show as Karen, she was a fresh new face and one that stood out from the crowd at the good ol' Scranton Branch. Quickly becoming a love interest to Jim and bringing a bit of a cat fight into the show between Pam* and herself. Rashida has a very unique look. At 33, she has recently burst onto the scene with a vengeance. After her days on "The Office" dwindled down, she was immediately picked up by the newly, and apparently quite funny "Parks and Recreation." Branching off of her TV scene, Rashida was very good in a slightly overrated "I Love You, Man!" Taking a look through her Filmography courtesy of IMDB, she was apparently on 2 episodes of the "Chappelles' Show," I think I'll have to bust out my DVD's to scan through for that one. But the interest is there for this new fem, and I'm sure we will all be seeing much more to come. Meanwhile, enjoy the photos.

Ok then, I'm starting to realize I don't really blog about anything important and this has strictly turned into a, lets put a hot chick up on my site for people to look at, thing. But whatever. When I find something in the world worth writing down (to myself) on this site I guess I will. But in the meantime. Babe of the Week! 500 Days of Summer was given a limited release this past weekend. "500 Days of Summer, what's that?" you may say to your self. Well its a brilliant little flick about how two random people can come together for a short period of time, 1 falling madly in love with the other while the other 1 just really isn't into it and goes their separate way. This movie is catching rave reviews and will be (in fantasy football terms) a great sleeper pick for one of the best movies released this summer. It's only a little longer than 1.5hrs so if you can squeeze some time out of your busy lives to catch this film, I am recommending it!

Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel is a rare find in Hollywood. Amazing attitude, free spirit, down to earth, fun, classy and, best of all, she is always herself. From appearances on talk shows to skits on SNL. Zooey and just a Gem on the screen. At 29, Zooey has had some brilliant roles in recent films. The most recent being "Summer" in the new (500) Days of Summer. Where she plays the fun, irresistible girl who can get a guy to fall head over heels for her but when it gets old, she bounces without any worry or thought of the other party. Zooey is also a musician and has quite a beautiful voice as well. She got to use some of her singing skills in Yes Man. Playing opposite of Jim Carrey, Zooey falls into the "fun, irresistible girl who can get a guy to fall head over heels for her" role yet again. Only this time she's head over heels in love too and they live happily ever after. There is just something special I feel when I watch her on screen. I mean, I think I would really want to hang out with her. I think she'd really fit in my group of friends very well and would have me laughing "hard" all the time. She looks like someone my friends would date!

She sadly also appeared in The Happening. Even she couldn't save the movie from Mark Whahlberg's bad acting and M. Night's, well, everything! She played Dorothy in a really creepy, made for TV movie, called Tin Man. She was just adorable in Failure to Launch playing the quirky roommate. She's appeared in some big time movies such as Live Free or Die, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and All the Real Girls. But one of the biggest was opposite Will Ferrell in the Christmas Tale of ELF!

So to say the least, she's been a busy girl since entering Hollywood in one of her firsts roles in Almost Famous. She beautiful, radiant and fun. Shannon agrees on how adorable she is so I'm not alone here!

Emmanuelle Chriqui, born December of 77' a Canadian from Montreal. Making her first on screen debut in the infamous TV series "Kung Fu" (RIP David Carradine, you went out in style!) in 1995 and since has been in numerous small roles throughout the years. Up until 2000 she only appeared in TV Series that I never heard of. But she appeared in her first film that rings a bell to my bad movies I have watched list in "Snow Day." But she made her imprint in my obsession in a completely underrated movie "100 Girls." Movie was really good, and Emmanuelle played the "object of affection" the entire film. She truly was my object of everything. She then showed up a bit on "The O.C." and also played the lesbian Bartender in "Waiting." She was super smoking hot in "Don't Mess With the Zohan" playing opposite Adam Sandler. But what Emmanuelle may go down for in her acting career is the beautiful and enticing Sloan in the hit series on HBO "Entourage." Appearing for a good bit in the earlier seasons, Sloan then fell off the series for a season and a half. Causing much uprising among watchers (Not really, but fuck, I was upset. She's really hot and I liked looking!) So now with the new season already beginning, Sloan, I mean Emmanuelle has entered Entourage as a steady fixture once again. THANK GOD!

I know that the All-Star Babes was just a few days ago, but that's what procrastination gets you. But the blog must go on! So in honor of the release of the New Harry Potter flick: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince I present to you:

Emma Watson

Emma Watson, well I'd say "most" known for but it's really, only known for her roll in the MEGA Franchise Harry Potter. She plays Hermione Granger, the smart ass, sweetly devoted side-kick to the oh so popular Harry Potter. I feel that watching these films, somewhat like a sitcom, we've watched Emma grow up and blossom from an adorable little kid to a sweet and sexy woman. Now 19 Watson has kept things pretty low key. No MAXIM covers or craziness off screen. But I kind of like that about her. She is still quite young and has a long way to go in her career. God only knows what rolls she'll have to take to completely break the "Harry Potter Girl" idea out of every one's mind. So I'll be looking forward to that Roller Coaster of a life! There is just something about these British women that call to me like a flame to a moth. I don't care if I get burned, it's all about how close you can get to the fire! Not to mention that in my own "I don't see it at all..." kind of way, she reminds me of my fiancee. So that's bonus points for her! Keep those spells coming Emma. I'm already in your trance!

Babe of the All-Star Week

In honor of the 2009 Baseball All-Star Game being held tonight. I've put together my own version of an All-Star Game. I've compiled my top 9 Female Villains and my top 9 Female Heroes. Villains making up the AL of course being that I'm an NL fan. (PHILLIES) So without further delay:

2009 AL All-Star Villans

In Right Field at the #9 position: Natasha Henstridge. To me she'll always be the extremely naked and sexy alien in the original Species. But Natasha has been playing the hardened female role in multiple thrillers. She was the lovable wife to allegedly dead Jimmy "The Tulip" in the whole 9 yards and some other stuff I never saw. But she is a sexy one!

In Center Field at the #8 position: Uma Thurman. We may love her for the kick ass role as "The Bride" in Tarantino's Kill Bill but Uma gets the nod on this All-Star Villains squad for her god awful role as Poison Ivy in Batman & Robin. I don't have too much to say about the movie for it was one of the worst things to get burned onto film. But Uma is Hot! And so she gets to be on my team. Hell she can be on anything of mine!

In Left Field at the # 7 position: Kristanna Loken. Now at first looking at the name you think. "Who?" But pictures are worth a 1,000 words. She's the T-X model Terminator in the more recent T:3 Rise of the Machines. Despite her liquid exterior with a heart powered by fuel cells, Kristanna is just too hot not to get voted onto this team. I don't think she was ever in another movie, but she's left her impression on all of us. Wait, apparently, according to IMDB, she appears in "The L Word." I have been meaning to check that show out per the suggestion of Mr. Skin.

At Short Stop in the #6 position: Kristen Bell. Well, what can I say about K-Bell? I wasn't a fan. Never seen an episode of Veronica Mars despite the rave reviews. (Then again it was cancelled faster than my dentist appointment) But Kristen found a place in my heart with her performance in the wildly funny Forgetting Sarah Marshall. But her cold hearted cheating slore of an ex-girlfriend role isn't what gets her on this team. No sir! It's her vindictively evil role as Elle on NBC's Heroes that puts her into the villain category. If anyone can hold down this Middle Infield it's Kristen. Lets see her turn those double plays. "Bull Shit, Bull Shit, Bull Shit!"

At Third Base in the #5 position: Rebecca Romijn. Rebecca can take many faces in her roles over the years. But no one character has more faces than Mystique in the X-Men Series. Her body paint alone drove me crazy! She has a smoking body and the fact that she slept with John Stamos makes her legendary. haha. She's now the wife of the Sliders star Jerry O'Connell and I think he's pretty cool too! Oh she was super sexy in Simone as well.

At Second Base in the #4 position: Lucy Liu. Best known for her role as one of three Angels in the remake series of Charlies Angels, she touched my heart with her role as O-Ren Ishii, the sexy American-Chinese uh... I mean sexy assassin in Kill Bill. (hope to keep my head) Lucy Liu has always been just absolutely adorable. And it was the famously funny episode of Futurama that sealed the deal for me!

At First Base in the #3 position: Famke Janssen. Like her X-3 counterpart Rebecca Romijn, Famke played the most powerful mutant of them all in Phoenix aka Dark Jean Grey. One of my top 5 Villans in all of comic land, strictly cause she's the most powerful, Famke found a way to stay ubber hot with a red vained face. Not sure how but I wasn't complaining. Famke has had some hot appearances in the TV series Nip/Tuck that will drive any man crazy. Hence earning her a core spot on this team.

In the Catcher spot at the #2 position: Scarlett Johansson. I mean where do I start with ScarJo? She's just stupid hot. Now I know when you hear ScarJo you don't think Villain. Do you? Well if you like to watch really bad movies like me then you will know that she played Silken Floss in the atrocious The Spirit. I mean so bad, that I only got through 15 minutes all 4 times I attempted to watch it. Yes, 4 attempts. This coming from the kid that owns Josie and the Pussycats, Rollerball and Failure to Launch. So YES IT'S THAT BAD! But man is ScarJo so so so so so hot. But don't fear yet kids. She'll steal the Villain role yet again in the upcoming film Iron Man 2 as the vixen Black Widow. I'll be looking forward to her hotness all over that giant screen. Hell she was the only thing that made minutes 10-15 enjoyable of The Spirit.

In the Ace spot as Starting Pitcher: Eva Mendes. Eva is my #1 Hollywood Hottie. Fell in Love with her originally in Exit Wounds. Then was just breathtaking as Denzels lady in Training Day. She showed up in 2 Fast 2 Furious making me hard, I mean IT hard for me not to love hot women and fast cars! Pulled a great roll in Once Upon A Time In Mexico. But she solidified my desire for her when she was just herself in the underrated Stuck on You. But sadly she gets put on the Villains list for a few rolls. 1 Roll= Very Good, 2 Rolls= Sad! Very Sad. She played a drug addicted, crime involved chick in We Own The Night= Good. But she's really on the team cause she A- Agreed to appear in the 2nd Worst Movie of All Time Ghost Rider and B- Agreed to appear in the 1st Worst Movie of All Time as an actual Villain Sand Saref in The Spirit. Yes again with this movie. After the 4th attempt I literally watched the film in Fast Forward so that I could just "see" the scenes starring Eva. I Do Enjoy a good Eva scene. Especially when there is some "Side Boobage" involved.

2009 NL All-Star Heroes

In Right Field at the #9 position: Michelle Ryan. Now unless you are a geek like myself, you will never know who this is. But I find myself to be a fan of good shows that go absolutely no where on TV. Michelle was the star of a very short run show named Bionic Woman. Decent writing, pretty girls, high tech robotic Michelle I couldn't go wrong. Show could have been much better but hey, I like bad things!

In Center Field at the #8 position: Hayden Panettiere. I won't say much about Hayden since my last week Babe was dedicated to her. But simply, she helps save the world every Monday on Heroes and shes damn cute.

In Left Field at the #7 position: Megan Fox. Again, I won't say much about Megan since she was my Babe two weeks ago. But without her, Optimus could never had saved the world from the Fallen in the newest Transformers!

At Short Stop in the # 6 position: Lena Headey. There is just something about this girl that drives me nuts. Could be that she plays the overly protective mother of the savior of free men John Connor. It could be that she was the strong willed Queen of Sparta in 300. Or it just could be that she's just hot! However it works out, she's playing SS, and I'm wondering if she'll get another prominent roll.

At Third Base in the #5 position: Halle Berry. Who doesn't love a good Halle. Swordfish anyone? She was Catwoman! It was bad but she was in the costume. That was a plus. She's one of the most attractive actresses of our time and she's actually a good actress. That's Rare! Like Mr. Clean with HAIR! She was Storm in X-Men and that white hair was working for her like no other! I'd take her home to mom.

At Second Base in the #4 position: Malin Akerman. I LOVED The Watchmen. Despite mixed reviews, and the minimal income generated at the Box Office Malin was just SMOKING. Sex Scene was hot. But of course not as hot as the scene in The Heartbreak Kid. "Fuck me like a Black Guy Eddie! Jackknife me!" WOW! She does have her moments when you look at a pic and say, she's not cute at all! But those are few and far between cause this girl is Cajun, no wait she's BLAZIN!

At First Base in the #3 position: Summer Glau. The cornerstone of the NL Heroes, Summer is actually an Anti-Hero. A reprogrammed T-800, so we think, once trying to destroy all humans, now protecting the one that will save us all. But Sarah Connor Chronicles was canceled before we can find out the true nature of the T-800's upgrades. She started as the answer to mans problems on Firefly and progressed onto the big screen in Serenity. But she will forever by my Terminatrix! I do have a feeling she'll be type casted into the female soldier roll but I see big things for her in the future. Be alert, "she'll be back" for us all!

In the Catcher spot and the #2 position: Angelina Jolie. The Stealth Assassin in Wanted could have earned her the 2 spot on this squad but it's just not the case. We must think back a bit to the two movie epic Tomb Raider. You know Gerard Butler was in one of those? Angy is hot, she's banging Brad Pitt and she's like ubber rich. She's on top of the world. She buys kids for gods sake. Did I mention she's HOT!?

The Ace of the NL presents: Jessica Alba. The Invisible Woman, Jessica takes her Hero stardom to the next level in the Fantastic Four series. She wasn't the hottest thing during the movies and at times even annoying. But off screen she's just too adorable to not have her here in the Starting Pitcher spot. She first appeared as a sexy savior in the TV series Dark Angel. She would ride around on her sleek black stealthy motorcycle and look all kinds of good. She was the best in Good Luck Chuck though. She remains atop the sexy poll of Hollywood and I can't see her coming down any time soon. She doesn't try to out act her ability and knows that shes working to the max the best of her abilities. You go Jessica!

Happy 4th of July to all! Another week. Another weekend gone by too fast. But there is always the newly issued Babe of the Week to look forward to. So this week's Babe comes along with a small movie plug.

Shannon brought it to my attention that this weeks Babe will be appearing NUDE in her next movie. This is something that I was not expecting for at least another 3-4yrs. Without further ado, this Week I present to you the HEROES star Hayden Panettiere.

Hayden Panettierre, Born August 21st 1989 first appeared on the screen as the adorable football fanatic daughter of the former TC Williams High School football coach Bill Yoast (Will Patton) in Disney's Remember the Titans. I always thought that she was damn adorable even in that movie. And now I get the pleasure of enduring her inability to act each week in NBC's HEROES. She's cute to look at but I can't stand how she doesn't move her lips to talk. haha. But anyway, she's appearing in a new movie called I Love You, Beth Cooper. I haven't read too much about it but I did catch a brief trailer the other day. It has a "Can't Hardly Wait" vibe being that the film is about a geek who confesses his love the the hottest girl in school, Hayden and in turn she takes him on a night he'll never forget. Well if it involves Hayden getting naked, then it'll be worth the wait of a DVD release. But in the meantime here are a few picks that I found worth the post.

But I did catch Transformers this week and there is just something about well design slow-motion chase scenes that make a man change his mind. So that being said, Fox has entered my top 10. But that's just me. FHM and Maxim rank her #2 of 100 in their latest poll for "Sexiest Woman in the World." This girl has worked her way up the movie ladder.

What have we learned about the great Lebron James after WITNESSing his demise in the NBA conference finals this past weekend? In order to understand the magnitude of of the defeat we must first analyse it construction.

Who is Lebron James? He's known as the King. And not of burgers. 24 years old, Lebron entered the 2008-09 season as a 6th year Cleveland Cavalier. This kid stands a staggering 6'8" and carries an impressive 250 lbs of what appears to be solid steel muscle! The guy is simply a BEAST! He's the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, 5xAll-Star, and the 2009 MVP. He is the youngest player to be named: MVP, All-Star MVP and Rookie of the Year. Youngest player to: score 50 points in a game, score 2,000 points in a season, reach 1,000 2,000 3,000 4,000 5,000 6,000 7,000 8,000 9,000 10,000 11,000 and 12,000 career points. Compared to the Great Michael Jordan, in their first 6yrs, Jordan scored 14,016 points while King James has put up 12,993. Neither won a Championship going into their 7th year.

Coming out of college, Lebron signed a very lucrative endorsement deal with Nike and since then has marketed himself to the fullest extent. He as added endorsements deals with sprite, bubblicious and upper deck to his resume throughout the years and in 2007 was ranked #1 by Forbes as top earner under 25 w/ $27 Million per year. Lebron is like a big kid (not just cause he's gigantic) but when it comes to the two things he's most passionate about, money and basketball, he's all business! Financially, Lebron has ambitions of being a Global commodity and wishes to become the first Billionaire Athlete (despite the fact that Tiger Woods is a breath away from that same feet).

Entering the playoffs this year, Cleveland had 66 wins (leading all of NBA teams) and Lebron was averaging 28.4 ppg, 7.2 apg and 7.6 rpg and did I mention he won MVP honors this year? Lebron's Cavaliers faced off against the Pistons of Detroit. The Cavs kept their motor on full speed ahead coming out of the regular season to beat the Pistons in 4 games. James averaged 32 points per game in that series. After a few days off, King James took that same team against a tough Atlanta Hawk team. But the mighty Hawks were no match for the King and his court. Atlanta fell in another 4 game series. James averaged 34 in that series not to mention he dropped 47 in game 3. With Lebron standing tall and with a Kobe vs Lebron NBA finals lingering in media heaven, only one man stood in the way. And the biggest man of all men to boot.

23yr old Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic. 1st overall draft pick of the following James draft year, Dwight stands 6'11" 265 with shoulders that appear wider than my wingspan. Dubbed with the nickname "Superman" Howard could play chicken with a freight train and I think the train would fall on the loosing side. The series ended in an exasperating Cleveland loss in game 6. The Kings court was a no show when time to prove to the world that they were the answer to Cleveland's woes. James dropped 49, 35, 41, 44, 37 and 25 (231) while the rest of the Cavaliers had only 376. That's right people, Lebron was accountable for 76% of the scoring throughout the series. That is an insane amount of responsibility. When the final horn sounded to conclude the series in Orlando with the scoreboard showing a 13 point defeat to the King, Lebron simply walked off the court and into the locker room without any acknowledgement to his opponents for a job well done.

I found it to be extremely disappointing that he conducted himself with such poor manor and distastefulness in an arena where sportsmanship outweighs emotion. Lebron has been catching some heat for his actions and has defended it with the simple comment of "I am a competitor, I'm a winner. I don't think its right to congratulate someone who just beat you up." No coming from me, the kid who has played in over 4 organized sports (baseball, basketball, soccer and softball) it is customary and one of the first fundamentals of athletics that you congratulate your opponent despite the outcome of the match. Even if you hate their faces and wish death upon their families, you bite your tongue and you line up on the field of battle and you, at least say "good game."

Lebron is a winner. That idea is understandable. But he's also a sore loser. He's gotten to the point that he's too good for loosing. It may have to do with his age, maybe with the pressure put on him by a City drenched in defeat or even the teammates and coaches around him who are all looking up at him like he's the saviour of their people. But any of the reasons that can be stated, the conclusion is the same, his actions were classless. I fell that Lebron James, King James, will go down in sports history as the GREATEST NBA PLAYER to ever play. He has the skill and talent within him to lift any team to great heights. He has a long and prosperous career ahead of him that can be filled with gold rings, gold basketballs and MVP trophies that can fill a house. But non will mean anything if he isn't humble. Humble for the gift and talent that lies within him. For the opportunity to go out and do great things. And for the growth, knowledge and honor that comes with defeat.

Summer Blockbuster Update!

So as we head into Memorial Day weekend, I'll take this oportunity to rate already released films.

Against my own recommendation, I saw Wolverine in its opening weekend. I'll start by saying this, can I have my money back please? I don't have too much to write about since the movie was so forgetable I can't actually remember anything worth writing about. I know there was Wolverine, and he cried a lot. And Sabertooth kept killing everyone. And then Ryan Reynolds showed up for about a minute but answered a cell phone call from FOX telling him that he had to hurry over to Studio 6 to start filming the Deadpool spinoff so that FOX can rake in another $100 Million on a bad creation of a beautiful franchise. Then after he left Wolverine got really angry for a minute but then realized that he's really Hue Jackman and he should be on broadway not playing the most dangerous mutant hero ever to grace the pages of a comic book. Then the rolled credits and everyone sat there wondering if the last 2hrs of their life just happened. 4/10

I also caught Star Trek this past weekend and let me start off by saying this, WOW! I was not dissapointed in any aspect of the film. Acting was A+, Character praise for original show was Spot-on, CGI was beautiful and perfectly used to display a fluid and realistic feel. Eric Bana, who plays Nero the villian, really stepped up to the plate and cracked one over the right field wall. In the 4 minutes that JJ used to explain why Nero was so devoted to anhilation over all planets, he really gave me the full understanding and emotion behind the character. I'm not sure who wrote this thing cause I really don't feel like opening up a new window and heading over to IMDB to find out, but it was witty, genuin, casual and interesting. Throw that in with JJ's use of beautiful visuals and amazing character interactions and you have yourself an truely good film. My 1, and only 1 flaw, and this in no ones falt but my own, is that every time I saw Zach Quinto (Spock) all I can see is Sylar from Heroes and I even at one point turned to Shannon and said, why doesn't he just use his powers to stop time and kill everyone... haha. But again that's no fault but mine for being such a big geek and falling in love with HEROES. Oh and this was written by Roberto Orci and Ale Kurtzman (Eagle Eye, Fringe, Alias) <--I had to look up Spocks actor's name on IMDB so I checked the writters too. 9/10

Now last night I got the oportunity to view Terminator Salvation. My second/first, depending on what day you ask me, favorite altra-universe. And I really "Enjoyed" this film. Now from a die hard Terminator fan perspective, the film left me with no new knowledge of the universe. No development in the storyline. No plot depth that allowed me to care about ANY of the characters that the previous 3 films had. But, from a movie lovers perspective, this movie is bonified bad ass. CGI was spectacular, the T-800 was absolutely amazing, the sets were well developed, the scenes were full of action and the movie was pumping from start to finish. So in my opinion, if you give me a fully loaded, action packed explosive film and throw in any type of Terminator then you got a solid B movie in my book. I'm very much looking forward to the release onto DVD with an "R" rating and an additional 45 minutes of footage. 7/10

With this summer blockbusters closely approaching I wanted to take a minute to break down what to keep and eye out for and when to save your money!

The first Major Blockbuster to hit the big screen will be X-Men Origins: Wolverine releasing May 1st. But before diving head first into the hype of the new superhero flick, remember that this film is still property of FOX and not MARVEL STUDIOS! This being said, I have seen way to many marketing ploys associated to this film for me to believe it can stand on its own. From the MILK ad with Jackman as Wolverine being gay as hell to the newly aired Schick Quattro Titanium razor commercial where a kid has a full beard and with the help of this razor shaves his face into the likes of Wolverine. It was just sad to see. All this in addition to Mr Chris Price (a true comic junky) telling me how bad the leaked version of the film was and that no special effects can save it, lead me to believe that this film should be avoided until DVD release. Instead, I suggest venturing out this weekend and truly enjoying The Soloist. I mean RDJ (Robert Downey Jr) and Jamie Foxx, you can't go wrong. Plus it's based on a true story that is both moving and sincere. It has Oscar nom written all over it!

Once the Wolverine dust settles movie goers are in for some truly entertaining films this summer. Most of them have high budgets and plenty of action. May 8th brings us J.J. Abrams version of the Star Trek (Prequel). The mans resume speaks for itself (Armageddon, M.I. III, Lost, Alias and Cloverfield) J.J. has the most amazing vision and for me, who may have seen about 2.5 episodes of Trek and never really got it, will be one of the first to see this film. That and my soon to be father in law is a Trekie. The trailer alone makes my face smile so hard I can taste my ears. <-- yes that's possible. This film will be a must see in theaters due to the immense amount of visual effects.

Between Star Trek and the next major motion picture Terminator Salvation premiering May 22nd is the Ron Henry follow-up of the thriller The Davinci Code titled Angels & Demons releasing May 15th. I suggest save your money this weekend and wait for the DVD or read up on some reviews of Wolverine and possibly check it out without the crowds. With the release of Terminator Salvation (the 4th installment in the franchise) marks the first film in the new trilogy. Starring Christian Bale, Terminator is jam packed with enough action and classic Terminator mythology to keep the fanboys at ease. (myself included) Terminator is probably my all time favorite Sci-Fi film reality. And that is saying a lot considering my love for Matrix. But I am a big believer in the idea that machine dependency will lead to our ultimate demise.

For the horror fans out there, Sam Raimi is releasing Drag Me To Hell on May 29th and that is the same weekend that UP is released for all those pixar freaks in America. Drag me to Hell looks really really creepy and is catching some great early reviews. It has already scored an 8/10 on IMDB. Justin Long stars along side Alison Lohman (who you wont recognize from anything) and she's so darn cute. Sam's been working on this one since he finished up 30 Days of Night in 2007 and it appears to have been well worth the wait.

Heading into June the main stream movies die down a bit but that doesn't mean there isn't anything good being released. Getting wedged between the blockbusters like the Fluff in my PBF sandwich are two anticipated comedies. Both Land of the Lost and Year One are being released June 5th and June 19th respectively. LOTL is going to be a much more family geared comedy but it stars Will Ferrell and co-stars Danny McBride so it'll make me pee my pants regardless. And Year One stars both Jack Black and the always amusing Michael Cera in a prehistoric kind of History of the World esq style film. Both can easily fill a Saturday night with tons of laughs.

After the enjoyment of these comedies, the onslaught of blockbusters hit the hardest. Starting with the highly anticipated release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on June 26th. Michael Bay pulls no punches with confirmation of over 20 transformers for the second installment. And yes, Megatron is returning and Megan Fox is still barely clothed. (Thank GOD) July 1st brings us the third film in the Ice Age trilogy Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and also the star studded Crime Drama taking place in 1930's Public Enemies starring the beloved Johnny Depp and co-starring Christian Bale, Channing Tatum (for the tweens), Billy Crudup and Giovanni Ribisi. This is sure to be a must see.

July 10th brings us Bruno the new and widely criticised Sacha Baron Cohen film about a flamboyant Austrian fashionista. And, well..... you get an idea.

Just as you catch your breath, you'll be kicked in the teeth by Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince opening July 15th. 5th Film replicating the 5th book of the acclaimed series. It's darker, longer and sure to be the best yet.

Judd Apatow hits us with another masterpiece titled Funny People on July 31st, bringing aboard Mr. Comedy himself to starr, Adam Sandler. As always, Apatow brings along his dynamic duo in both Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill. I haven't heard much about this film just yet but I mean Sandler, Rogen, Hill and Apatow at the helm... Comedy of the Year anyone? I'll be quoting this so hard it'll be like when I was 12 and learned who Jenna Jameson was!

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra brings to life that wonderful 80's cartoon to the silver screen on August 7th. But not the way you may think. this movie is going to basically be an Army recruitment advertisement ON STEROIDS! Really, it'll be the most action filled movie you have ever witnessed due to the fact that it'll suck so hard they will try everything to distract you!

Capping off the summer will be my most anticipated film in Inglourious Basterds. On August 21st Quentin Tarantino will take us into Nazi occupied Germany and show us how a team of war driven maniacs, lead by none other than Brad Pitt himself, can cause as much death and destruction that 2hrs of film can capture. For me, it'll be Inglourious - Vacation - Back to Reality.

So for me, it'll be a lot of weekend nights spent in front of a theater screen.

With the exceptions of Batman and The Matrix I think this is a pretty cool Trilogy Chart. Batman 2 was really really good, maybe even better than 1. And the entire Matrix trilogy was a bit better than stated. Yes, 1 was about 80x better than 2/3 but 2/3 were still worth half a bar! I feel that Lord of the Rings and Star Wars are the best depicted trilogies in this chart as well.

Devastator

Hasbro has released exclusive photos of it's new toy line for the upcoming film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The trailer recently released previewed an obviously large transformer riding on one wheel and completely demolishing anything in its path. It has been revealed that this Decepticon is in fact one of six that will form the ungodly Constructicon named Devastator. Devastator will consist of six separate transformers who all take forms of different construction site vehicles. It's rumored that Devastator will be at least twice the size of a typical transformer. Hasbro has released numerous pictures of these figures that I have posted here. The Decepticons that make up Devastator are as follows: Long Haul is a green Caterpillar 773B dump truck that will form the right leg. Rampage is a Caterpillar D9 bulldozer who will form the left leg. Scrapper is a Caterpillar 992G scoop ladder who forms the right arm. Hightower is a yellow Obelco CK2500 truss crane and forms the left arm. Scavenger is the Terex O&K RH 400 hydraulic mining excavator as seen in the trailer that will form Devastator's torso. And finally Mixmaster is a black and silver Mack concrete mixer that is the head of this monstrosity. Each will come together and manifest the most redic looking transformer and probably the most insane enemy movies have ever encountered.

2009 All-Star Celebration

Saturday and Sunday in Phoenix Arizona the NBA celebrated it's 58th All Star Weekend featuring numerous events. None more spectacular than the Slam Dunk Competition and of course the East vs West All-Star Game. As big of an NBA fan as I am, I unfortunately did not watch more than a minute of the events. But I will however recap the weekend for the rest of you who also missed out.

Friday started out with an NBA Cares event. Basically it was a bunch of old NBA heads giving a Q&A to the people of Phoenix with such riveting slogans as "Help slam dunk hunger in Phoenix!" A wonderful charitable event I'm sure but nothing I will dwell on. Friday then continued on with McDonalds All Star Celebrity Game. Coaching this group of elites were two of the most celebrated NBA players of our time, Magic Johnson and Julius Erving. Now when i read Celebrities I think back to the good old 90's when MTV had a Rock-N-Jock NBA game with the likes of Jenny McCarthy, Bill Belamy and Christian Slater. So I was excited to see who was in attendance of this event only to have my hopes and dreams shot down. To the NBA, a celebrity is really just an obscure athlete. Participants in this years event included 10 Basketball players (consisting of NBA Legends, WNBA stars and Harlem Globetrotters) 5 Actors and 1 Terrell Owens. T.O. with his stealthy 17 points and 1 assist took the MVP award marking his second appearance in the Celebrity event. In yet another even Friday evening T-Mobile presented the Rookie challenge. What might their challenge be you ask? It is the Sophomore Class of the NBA. Who dominated the fresh group of youngsters. Led by the MVP performance of Sophomore Kevin Durant's 46 points (33 points over the second highest scorer on the team and Philadelphia's own Thaddeus Young), the Sophomores beat the Rookies 122-116. Friday's bill of events was topped of by the NBA D-League All-Star competitions. This event included a game of H-O-R-S-E, a Three-Point Shoot-Out and a Slam Dunk Competition. Who participated? I don't know they are a bunch of D-League guys that nobody cares about. Lets just say some guy named James White of some team called the Anaheim Arsenal won something. So moving on!

Saturday started off with Haier Shooting Stars Competition. Now for those who don't know this competition is simple. Three player teams (1 old school, 1 new school and one WNBA) shoot from different points of the court. Each spot worth x points and most points win. That said, Team Detroit won consisting of Arron Affalo, Bill Laimbeer and Katie Smith. Another event that just fills time and space in All-Star Weekend. Following was the Playstation Skills Challenge were Derrick Rose, rookie for the Chicago Bulls, was crowned champ. The most important stat in this event was that 76er Moe Williams is nearly a quarter of a minute faster than Tony "French Stewart" Parker. Second to last event Saturday night was of course the Foot Locker 3-Point Shoot-Out. In an OT Shootout between Daequan Cook and Rashard Lewis Cook took the trophy and threw the X down on Jason Kapono's chance at a Threepeat. Saturday was topped off with
the Sprite (and if you are keeping count this is the 6th sponsored event in two days) Slam Dunk contest. In a David vs Goliath showdown it came down to fan favorites Dwight Howard aka Super Man and Nate Robinson aka Krpitonate in the final round, it was all hanging on fan vote to choose a winner. While Howard ran into his phone booth to change into his superman cape, he had a 12 foot basket brought out. Throwing the ball down like the net was eye level gained a boisterous crowd roar. Only to then be used as a prop in his own downfall. As the 5-9 Robinson
changed into his all green uniform (shoes, arm bands and ball included) and leapt over 6-11 Howard to slam down with authority (on a regulation 10 foot net of course) gaining 52% of the fan vote and claiming his rank among the elite dunkers in the NBA.

Sunday was all about anticipation for the 58th All-Star Game. Typical East vs West. With starters like Lebron James and Allen Iverson in the east taking on Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul of the west, it was really the reunion of Kobe and Shaq. (first time as a team since 2004's LA L
aker championship) Fittingly, the two were crowned Co-MVP's based on Kobe's 27 points and Shaq's 17 in 11 minutes. The West finished the game in a 146-119 spanking. And thus concluding the festivities.

Happy Hallmark Day

Last night I saw a film, if I recall it was a horror film. Got a chance to catch the new Friday the 13th last night. And let me say that I found it to be surprisingly good. It did not fail to deliver all the necessary aspects of a true slasher film. Abundance of gorish kills - check. Sneaky ninja killer - check. Many camera pop-up jumpy scenes - check. An unnecessary (in a great way) amount of nudity - check.

* * *Spoiler Alert * * *

The film starts off with a scene flashing medley of the 1980 original chase between the original camp counselors and Mrs. Vorhees that ends in decapitation. The movie proceeds to a group of campers searching for a little piece of heaven* that opens up to moments of sex (involving a character that looks almost exactly like my best friend Joey), cheese comedy and a plethora of slashing realistic kills. After disposing of the campers in an adrenaline raged no shortcut massacre we get the sense of what the rest of the movie has in store as the giant red title "FRIDAY the 13th" smacks the screen.

The rest of the movie is well worth the view. Kills are still original and by no means cheap knock offs of any previous Jason flick. The character development is small but gets you close enough to have some type of connection to each victim. The new spin on Jason has a fresh feel and gives you more of a feeling of this is kind of how it would have went down instead of the previous films where you just sit there and go... "come on, really?" I definitely feel that if you are a fan of the slasher genre that this will fit your bill. Overall I'll give it 7/10

* - Camp Crystal Lake happens to have a massive Pot Garden. Making us all understand why Jason is so territorial.

God Of War III

This is the first full trailer for the highly anticipated God of War III exclusively on the PS3. This, my friends, will be the straw that breaks the camel's back and forces me to buy a PS3. Fox Friday Heats Up

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (my favorite TV show right above Heroes) has been moved to Friday nights and it's mid-season premier is tonight. I am as big of a fan of the Terminator mytho as anyone else I know. The ideology of Terminator may actually extend beyond that of The Matrix (my all time favorite science-fiction media ever). And I contribute that strictly to time travel. But if in the future, the Wachowski Bros. tell me that Neo masters Time Travel then, phssshh, it's right back on top of my list! But I highly recommend this series, if not to sit and watch on a Friday night but it defiantly deserves a DVR time slot.

Also on Fox Friday Nights is the new series named Dollhouse.

The show follows an organization that employs mind-wiped DNA-altered humans known as Dolls who are implanted with false memories and skills for various missions and tasks. When they are not 'at work' they are living in a real life Dollhouse which gives the show the name. One of those mind-wiped humans, a young woman named Echo, is slowly starting to become aware of herself and what's going on - all the while somebody on the outside is trying to bring the Dollhouse down while getting closer to Echo - possibly not aware that she is one of the Dolls he is after.

Sounds worth the DVR time slot but after three episodes I'm sure there will be talks of cancellation. But I'll give it a chance simply cause I do love me some Eliza Dushku.

Jordan graduated North Carolina Class of 1984. Drafted by the Chicago Bulls 3rd overall.* Won 6 Championships (all with the bulls) in 91' 92' 93' 96' 97' 98'. Proud owner of five different jersey #'s that include 5, 9, 12, 45 and the infamous #23. He's a 5x MVP, 14x All-Star, 6x Finals MVP, Defensive player of the year 1988, 1985 Rookie of the Year, 3x All-Star MVP, 2x Slam Dunk Champ and of course played for the Original Olympic Dream Team. Did I mention that he scored over 32,000 points in his career as well? Let us not forget the 1994 stint in the Chicago White Sox minor league system that showed us just how much we missed him in a basketball jersey.

With numerous other memorable Michael Jordan moments (I always appreciate the one when my parents decided to name me after such a brilliant athlete) it should be an honor just to watch him be inaugurated into the HOF this year. This 2009 rendition is staring Brad Pitt and is featured in the trailer. A much different take on the 1977 version that was a truly good view. I recommend it to anyone who wants to appreciate why Hollywood gets forced to remake 1970's films. Americans killing Nazi's, now that's good ol' fashion film making.
